Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s)

On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of the Margaret M. Seylar Elementary School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website! I hope that you find our website to be interesting and informative.

Our school is one of seven elementary schools in the Pennridge School District, which is located approximately 30 miles north of Philadelphia in Bucks County, Southeast Pennsylvania. We serve children in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade and have an enrollment of approximately 475 students. Our students will attend Central Middle School for Grades 6-8 and Pennridge High School for Grades 9-12.

In order to provide a positive, safe environment conducive to learning, each member of the M. M. Seylar School community, including students, staff, and parents, work together to teach, model and encourage positive behaviors, including self control, respect for self and others, and responsibility for one's own actions. Our goal is to foster positive interactions that will facilitate a learning environment conducive to instruction. Our school-wide behavior program, "Character Counts," focuses on the six pillars of character: Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Citizenship, Trustworthiness, and Fairness.

The Margaret M. Seylar Elementary School enjoys a wonderful reputation as a school whose faculty and staff are focused on doing what is best for each and every student. We are fortunate to work collaboratively with parents who eagerly support our efforts and who are actively involved in the education of their children. As a result, our students come to school motivated to learn and with a desire to take advantage of everything our school has to offer. Their interest and enthusiasm inspires all of us on a daily basis to provide the type of challenging educational program that students deserve. It is truly a pleasure for me to be a part of such a warm and vibrant educational community.

Thanks so much for visiting our site and giving us the opportunity to share information about our school. If I can be of any assistance to you, or if you have any questions about our school and its programs, please contact me at 215-257-6272.

Yours in education,
David C. Wagner
